Knossos’ chromatic contrasts, as well as Klimmen en dalen’s alternating harmonic rises and falls, glimmer in Senderos que se bifurcan, turning this final piece into a sort of Posadian Aleph in which the whole reflects each of its parts. Thus, Poética del Laberinto becomes one of the most powerful, unifying and diverse cycles we can nowadays listen to for a workforce of saxophones.
It goes without saying that a large part of not only the performing success we hear in this record, but also the very same reality of the score, stems from SIGMA Project, co-creator of Poética del Laberinto drawing from its experience regarding the saxophone’s possibilities.
